Over the years, Sabert has strengthened and diversified its portfolio to offer multi-material food packaging solutions incorporating plastic, cardboard and pulp (moulded fibre). This approach enables the company to respond quickly and effectively to market developments, while meeting growing expectations in terms of sustainability and performance in food packaging.
You advise and assist the company in bringing its activities and products into line with industry best practice in terms of production quality, health and safety, and environmental sustainability.
- Define processes and procedures in conjunction with operating staff for both internal and supplier implementation.
- Ensure the company and its suppliers’ day-to-day compliance with agreed national and international standards and certifications including, non-exhaustively, ISO9001, BRCGS, ISO45001, FSC/PEFC, SEDEX, ISO 14001 and EU food contact materials standards.
- Source and respond to Customer requests for supply of compliance documentation.
- Act as key correspondent for compliance and customer auditors/quality managers and ensure all non-conformances and corrective actions resulting from audits are implemented and communicated.
- Supervise and where appropriate, carry out day-to-day quality control activity.
- Oversee the use of the QC testing facilities.
- Coordinate the processing of all Customer Product and service quality complaints.
- Investigate complaints.
- Prepare and follow up claims on suppliers (including raw materials and factored products).
- Purchase contractor and consultant services through the Procurement Department as required, spend being pre-approved by the line manager.

- Continued development of the systems and procedures in the Company in support of its activities.
- Continued up-to-date expertise in the areas of food packaging compliance and sustainability.
- Expeditious and professional management of customer communications.
- Expeditious and professional management of quality and H&S related issues and incidents.
Previous recent, relevant and proven experience in managing compliance and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. Confident in communicating verbally and in writing. Fully conversant with standard office IT products (Email, Word, Excel etc.).
