As Tax Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality tax advisory and compliance services across a varied client portfolio. You will act as a trusted advisor to individuals, partnerships, trusts and estates, while also supporting the development of the wider tax team. This role combines technical expertise, people leadership and client relationship management, offering the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth and success of the tax function.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Tax Seniors and Trainees, fostering technical excellence and collaborative knowledge sharing.
- Identify and deliver complex tax planning opportunities, providing expert technical guidance on bespoke assignments.
- Oversee the quality and integrity of the personal tax return process, managing higher-level compliance cases within your portfolio.
- Drive departmental efficiency through proactive management of billing, workflow and monthly work-in-progress reviews.
You will bring at least five years of experience in a tax-focused role within a professional practice or similar environment, together with strong technical capability across personal tax and advisory matters. ATT or CTA qualification, or an equivalent level of tax expertise, is preferred. Minimum of five years experience in a tax-focused role within practice or a similar professional environment. Strong technical knowledge across personal tax compliance, advisory work and HMRC matters. Commercial awareness and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
