Semi Senior Accountant in East Riding of Yorkshire (Hull, Beverley, Driffield, Pocklington). Established independent accountancy practice with a strong regional presence. Part-qualified or qualified AAT/ACCA, or equivalent practice-based experience. Strong technical accounting capability and confident use of Excel.

About the Role: As Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services across a varied client portfolio. This position offers broad exposure across accounts preparation, management information, VAT, tax and client relationship management, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to further develop their technical capability and commercial awareness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, delivering accounts preparation and related services.
- Prepare, review and present management information in line with client requirements.
- Complete and submit VAT returns accurately and within deadline.
- Support clients with technical accounting queries and provide clear, practical guidance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.
- Prepare corporate and personal tax computations as required.
- Contribute to workflow planning and prioritisation across the wider team.
- Maintain a proactive, professional and service-led approach in all client interactions.
Candidate Profile: You will be AAT or ACCA part-qualified or qualified, with proven experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.
