My client based in the East Riding of Yorkshire is an industry leading energy efficiency company supplying premium quality products to a customer base across the UK. With an impressive track record of growth, the need has arisen to recruit an Electrical Project Manager, to further complement and add experience to the existing installations management team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking the chance to become part of a forward thinking and progressive organisation.
The purpose of the Electrical Project Manager is to take lead on delivery of a range of exciting national projects across Renewable systems, PV, BESS and EV, including all the Civils, and CDM requirements required to deliver as principal contractors. The ideal candidate will possess the desire to excel, hold strict attention to detail and have a focus on creating tier one solutions of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain electrical systems and products according to project requirements, managing day to day site/project activity.
- Undertake pre-start surveying and have practical input at design stage.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports (in-house, and external).
- Conduct system testing AC/DC and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and efficiency in line with BS7671.
- Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to implement effective solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client enquiries and concerns promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements within the electrical engineering and the renewables industries.
- Coordinate between customers, senior management, and sub-contractors to achieve seamless delivery of projects.
- Manage their own time and prioritise specific project requirements to meet the end goals.
Candidate Profile/Attributes:
- At least 5 years practical experience in commercial/industrial construction, strong focus on Engineering, and related fields.
- Proven experience managing, and coordinating subcontract engineering teams, and partners.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with regards to containment and fixings.
- Proven experience working with PV/BESS and electrical systems/components.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with regards to fixed containment, to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components.
- Working knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition) and Testing and Inspection 2391 or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret test readings and ability to create NIC EIC test certs.
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
