The Business Director role is an all-rounder; a strategic, leadership position within SSW. The Business Director is responsible for a large team of people, a large revenue base and portfolio of clients. You will collaborate with the Group Managing Director (GMD) in the decision making for the business direction and vision with a long-term goal of creating growth. You are a leader of leaders and a mentor of leaders across other disciplines; people seek you out for strategic counsel and you inspire people to follow you. You are a safe and trusted leader in the now, but you have a constant eye on the future. You have an action-oriented focus on how we succeed into the future on all aspects of the discipline (understanding industry trends, how they impact us and putting strategies in place to mitigate risks and drive opportunities).
Responsibilities
- You will be accountable for the clients within SSW, with responsibility for all the revenue in the client portfolio and the client associated costs.
- You will be a senior go to for SSW and represent the agency at key internal and external meetings in PH.
- You will therefore need to have a strong understanding of PH, so that you can communicate back insights, business opportunities and needs to senior team members to ensure seamless and consistent communications across the agencies.
- You will have the best interests of the agency front of mind, and you will work closely with the GMD to ensure the Agencies success.
- You will be open to change, be a âyesâ person but know when and how to challenge.
- You should feel comfortable voicing your opinion and providing senior counsel and recommendations to senior members of PH.
- New business will be a focus for you; you will always be on the lookout for new business through organic growth, new clients and cross selling.
- You will lead opportunities and take a lead role in pitch and proposal development at discipline and agency level.
- You will proactively plan for future growth and Think Further about innovative ways to grow the business.
- You will be comfortable with and proactive in all aspects of running the workstream, including building and maintaining happy, healthy and inspired teams, and pre-empting areas for team, client, capability and business growth.
