Saalexis seeking a Navy Maintenance Systems EngineerinNorfolk, VA. Saalex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer and Information Research Scientist specializing in Logistics Information Technology to join our dynamic team.
Position Type:Full-Time/Contingent
Salary:$80K-$250K (depending on experience)
Work Location:Hybrid remote/in-office.
Essential Functions:
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT integration, business processes, technical solutions, data analytics, and the latest technologies such as XR (Extended Reality).
- This role involves developing and implementing advanced IT solutions to optimize logistics operations and enhance decision support systems.
- The candidate will conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or solutions integrators optimizing the application of IT.
- Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software.
- Apply expertise to support program development, project execution, business and technical operations, strategic initiatives, and workforce development as required to support technical and organizational tasks for PMS integration within U.S. Navy operational, support, and engineering/sustainment environments.
- Assist and lead both analysis of current or in-work systems and the planning of future systems.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience within the last 8 years is required in support of providing guidance and expertise for the Navy\’s 3M system, PMS, and interpretation and use of NAVSEAINST 4790.8D, Ships\’ Maintenance and Material Management Manual.
- Must have an active NAVSEA Backfit RCM or higher certification
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science/IT, or Technical discipline and 5 years of experience, OR AA/AS degree and 9 years of experience, OR HS Diploma/GED and 11 years of experience.
Security Clearance:
Full or Interim Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education/Experience:
BA/BS degree in an Engineering, Computer Science/IT, or Technical discipline and 5 years of experience, OR AA/AS degree and 9 years of experience, OR HS Diploma/GED and 11 years of experience required.
