Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: London, UK Salary: £80 to £110 per day Contract Type: Full-time About the Role: SAAF Education is currently recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to support various schools across London. We are working with a wide range of schools seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN TAs to join their teams and provide crucial support to students with special educational needs (SEN). In this role, you will be working with children with various learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. You will play a key part in helping students access the curriculum, build their confidence, and achieve their potential in a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum. * Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies. * Support students in fostering independence, promoting positive behavior, and enhancing their emotional and social well-being. * Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals to monitor and report on student progress. * Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Requirements: * Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs. * A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development and learning. * Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN training, or other certifications). * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals. * Knowledge of supporting students with a range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities. * A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
