SAAF Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in an Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP) at a primary school in East Riding. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialised setting.

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to provide targeted support, helping children to achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential. SAAF Education provides ongoing guidance and support, ensuring you feel confident and well-prepared in every placement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with additional needs in 1:1 or small group settings
  • Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans
  • Provide academic and emotional support tailored to each child
  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external specialists
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or ERP setting
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
  • A current DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through SAAF Education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant SEN or TA qualifications are desirable
