This role is part of our Sensor Systems Business Unit. Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated Systems Engineer to support the growth of our radar and sensors at our Fareham, Hampshire campus.
As a Systems Engineer in Sensor Systems, you will predominantly work with the Giraffe 1X radar, the newest radar in Saab's portfolio; You will also support wider innovation across Saab UK.
Radar performance analysis and algorithm development.
System Engineering lifecycle management.
Ability to undertake technical leadership and maintain close working relationships with engineering functions.
Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
Understanding the interaction between system requirements, and hardware and software implementation.
Ability to conduct technical analysis and assessments with attention to detail.
You must hold UK or Swedish citizenship.
A willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
Experience with MATLAB, ideally with recorded radar data, ideally with an ability to perform system level modelling, simulation and analysis to evaluate system designs against requirements.
As a National Security Vetting clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or have the ability to gain it.
