SA Scaffolding is looking for a commercially minded individual who can help us win profitable new work whilst taking ownership of the day-to-day commercial function of the business. This is not a traditional commercial role. We are specifically looking for someone with existing industry relationships who can open doors, develop client relationships and help secure new opportunities, whilst also managing the commercial processes that drive profitability and cashflow. You should be confident to win new deals within the first months of joining. For the right individual, there is genuine opportunity to develop into a more senior commercial leadership role as the business and wider group continue to grow.
The Role
- Developing relationships with housebuilders, developers and contractors.
- Generating new business opportunities through your network.
- Preparing quotations, tenders and pricing schedules.
- Managing applications for payment, valuations and variations.
- Monitoring project profitability and commercial performance.
- Reconciling payments and improving cash collection.
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise margins.
About You
- Experience within scaffolding, construction or housebuilding.
- A proven track record of developing client relationships and winning work.
- Existing industry contacts that can create opportunities.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing applications, valuations and commercial processes.
- A hands-on approach suited to a growing SME business.
