Who we are
SA Safety Ltd is a specialist rescue and safety company based in South Devon.
We deliver life-critical training, standby rescue services, and safety solutions to some of the most demanding industrial environments in the UK.
Our work matters, and so do our people.
Demand for our confined space training is growing, and we're building a trusted team of associate trainers to help us deliver it to the standard our learners and clients expect.
The Role
We're looking for experienced confined space professionals to deliver and assess our City & Guilds 6160 Confined Spaces qualifications from our training centre in South Brent, on a self-employed, course-by-course basis.
This isn't a read-from-the-slides role .
Our learners are going into some of the most hazardous working environments there are, and what you teach them could save a life.
If you've done the job and want to pass that knowledge on properly, you'll fit right in.
- Delivering engaging classroom and practical confined space training to groups of up to 6 learners.
- Assessing learners in our simulated confined space facility against City & Guilds 6160 standards.
- Briefing learners on safety, emergency, and rescue arrangements before every practical session.
- Carrying out pre-use checks on equipment, including gas detectors, escape sets, BA, tripods, and winches.
- Completing accurate assessment records and taking part in our internal quality assurance and standardisation.
- Keeping safety front and centre for learners, colleagues, and yourself.
What We're Looking For
- Substantial hands-on experience of working in and supervising confined space entry.
- A recognised training qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
- Proven experience delivering and assessing accredited training.
- Sound knowledge of the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997, ACo P L101, gas detection, breathing apparatus and rescue arrangements.
- A confident, clear communicator who can manage groups and practical activities safely.
- THE HONEST BIT
This is a self-employed associate role, not a permanent job.
Work is offered course by course, so you'll need to be registered as self-employed (or trade through your own limited company), hold your own insurance, and manage your own tax and National Insurance.
In return, you'll get regular work with a well-equipped training centre, a team that values what you bring, and the flexibility to fit our courses around your other commitments.
What you'll get
Day Rate
Competitive day rate paid on invoice.
Planned dates booked well in advance
Free parking on site.
