Stephenson Operations is recruiting a Senior Survey Engineer to join our clientβs team. We specialise in head-hunting, recruitment, and payroll for highly skilled professionals in offshore, onshore, and energy projects.
What will you do in this position?
As a Senior Survey Engineer you will work closely with offshore project staff, assist the surveyor and party chief as required, and operate competently all relevant survey equipment. You will also help set up, interface, test, calibrate, and run survey sensors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and co-coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of online and offline survey spreads
- Customize survey systems to better meet survey requirements
- Ensure all equipment calibration documentation is up to date and available for reference
- Check and inspect survey systems for safety, installation, and operational compliance
- Oversee testing and commissioning of surface and subsea positioning and data acquisition systems
- Supervise the implementation of vessel PMS
- Undertake and supervise equipment modifications and repairs
- Oversee completion of fault reports, maintenance logs, and other documentation in reference to procedures
- Liaise with the marine crew and third parties to ensure all necessary documentation and permits are in place prior to commencing safety-critical operations
Who are you?
- You have a degree in Marine Surveying
- You have previous experience with multiple types of projects
- You are willing and able to travel regularly to project locations worldwide
- You are capable of working with different types of equipment
- You can create a safe and quality-based culture within the team
- You are a great communicator, verbally and in writing
- You are a good team player able to form working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
Must Have
- Experience with EIVA, Fusion 2 Sparse LBL installation and calibration, MBES, and other types of equipment
