Position Overview

The role of Data Processor is essential to the offshore team. You will process subsea vehicle navigation, multibeam and pipe track data, performing QC at every stage and ensuring project specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the online system to display real‑time vessel positions and verify the data acquisition process.
  • Maintain an online logbook and associated documentation.
  • Perform calibrations for surface and subsea systems.
  • Measure vessel offsets.
  • Respond to processing requirements outside specified work scope.
  • Select/modify/specify processing algorithms to meet project requirements.
  • Verify the results of automated processes.
  • Identify software limitations in a project environment and specify modification requirements.
  • Incorporate new or upgraded software into the data processing system and brief/train processing personnel accordingly.
  • Resolve errors in logged data to correct anomalies in DTM.
  • Use standard CAD graphical import and export functions; produce standard drawings for surveying, inspection, and construction.
  • Interpret client and industry electronic data format specifications and produce compliant files.
  • QC client/industry format files against provided specifications.
  • Produce and present final reports in standard electronic formats.
  • Create field layout and composite drawings for planning, progress monitoring, and inclusion in final reporting.
  • Design a chart series that meets client specifications.
  • Process logged USBL calibration data.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marine Surveying.
  • Previous experience on multiple types of projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to global project locations.
  • Ability to generate a safe, quality‑based culture within the team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player capable of forming working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Must Have

  • Experience with multiple processing software, ROV‑mounted MBES, and boom cameras.
