Stephenson Operations is recruiting a Cable Installation Engineer to support our client’s offshore projects. Your role ensures the technical side of project execution proceeds smoothly, from preparation in our office in Gorinchem to execution at project sites.

About Your Employer

Our client is a leading global contractor in dredging, hydraulic engineering, and offshore projects (oil, gas, and wind). We bring over a century of innovative partnership and infrastructure development expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact person for the Project Manager, project team, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and implement working methods with risk analysis.
  • Provide coordination and advice on technical problems.
  • Supervise subcontractors.
  • Review and follow up on subcontractor documentation.
  • Check document control registers to ensure work instructions, methods, and drawings are issued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering (preferred: Offshore Engineering or Maritime Infrastructure).
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience, preferably in the offshore wind industry.
  • Experience supporting projects and managing external engineering and suppliers.
  • Good command of English, spoken and written.
  • Strong communication and social skills.
  • Independent, practical, and creative problem solver capable of making decisions and working in project teams.

Travel Requirements

Willing to spend shorter or longer periods abroad on a regular basis.

Allowances and Deductions

  • Accommodation and flight ticket costs.
  • Transport during project (if applicable).
  • Meals/food/beverage allowance on site for Project Management.
  • Extra safety gear costs not part of PPE.
  • Extra training costs not specified in the Rfq.
  • Visa and immigration costs.
