The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 Β£ per hour.
Working with perishables means every day is exciting. Each year, every crop brings its own personality. Mother nature can be unpredictable and the challenge of logistics means boredom is not an occupational hazard.
At our farm in Faversham, Kent we grow and pack strawberries. Our strawberries are grown in both glasshouses (20ha) and outdoor polytunnels (25ha).
Your tasks will include strawberry picking, weeding, crown thinning and general fieldwork. A good level of physical capability and motivation is required as work is outdoors, and you will be walking all day, at times in poor weather. A high level of finger dexterity is required as you will be picking in line with productivity targets.
The work is paid at Β£12.21 per hour. Working days are between 5-6 days per week, weekends and Bank Holidays are classified as normal working days.
We have on-site seasonal accommodation available (caravans and PODS) for use. Accommodation is charged weekly in line with the accommodation offset rates, which change annually in April. Additionally, our campsite residents have free use of laundry facilities and WIFI.
