Disputes Practice Associate Directors combine exceptional project delivery and client management with business development responsibilities. Associate Directors write project proposals and associated budgets, oversee and review the work of analysts on individual assignments, and work to strengthen the client relationships of Disputes Practice of Sigma7 Business Intelligence. In addition, Associate Directors play an important role in marketing and business development efforts, representing the company in the market at events and conferences, and identifying and building relationships with potential new clients, under the guidance of the practice head(s). Successful candidate will report to the Head of Practice.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients as a trusted provider of intelligence.
  • Drive revenue growth through identification of and developing relationships with potential new clients, in conjunction with practice head.
  • Create bespoke research plans in response to client briefs. Oversee work of junior analysts and Associates on individual assignments, including preparation of written reports and liaison with human sources, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Edit reports.
  • Collect receivables.
  • Represent Sigma7 at events and conferences, including through participation in industry panels and other speaking engagements.
  • Support brand recognition through involvement in generation of marketing materials, media and social media content.
  • Broaden Sigma7’s network of human sources through identification of and outreach to potential contacts.
  • Act as a consultant to colleagues on areas of regional/ sectoral expertise.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in business intelligence, preferably primarily working on litigation support/disputes mandates.
  • Track record of building and maintaining commercial relationships.
  • In-depth regional or sectoral knowledge of commercial, legal and regulatory challenges affecting businesses.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, including on behalf of others. Ability to adjust plans in response to changing client needs.
  • Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to explain complex events and concepts in clear and concise terms.
