We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build data services for our leading private markets SaaS platform. As a Data Engineer you will be part of the data engineering team, and partner closely with business stakeholders to design and deliver AI-driven data solutions with measurable impact.
- Produce high-quality data, robust data architecture, and scalable systems that support applications, analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
- Create and maintain data ingestion pipelines delivering clean, well-structured data to power applications and machine learning models.
- Create and maintain data access APIs for all S64 applications and users.
- Collaborate closely with Engineers to design pipelines and data schemas optimized for experimentation and model training.
- Maintain and evolve our databases and data warehouses across environments, ensuring performance, integrity, and support for analytics and ML use cases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across systems, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.
- Stay up to date with developments in data engineering, AI/ML tooling, and cloud infrastructure, and bring relevant ideas and improvements back to the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Over 5 years of experience with data, machine learning and python, typescript, Java, or Scala.
- Previous experience at a product company building SaaS platforms is highly desirable.
- Expert in designing data stores (relational, NoSQL, blob storage & vector).
- Experience with Azure and using it for data processing, storage, and reporting.
- Skilled in converting unstructured data into vector embeddings using machine learning models.
- Skilled in building vector databases and indexing using specialized algorithms.
- Skilled in implementing LLMs with large datasets and complex data models.
- Previous experience at a FinTech, Tech Startup, or a product company building SaaS platforms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Git and version control (particularly Azure DevOps).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with modern web development technology stack is advantageous.
- Experience working in financial services is advantageous.
