As Head of GP and Asset Management Coverage based in the UK, you will originate new mandates and cultivate strategic relationships with the world’s largest private markets GPs and asset managers across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate and multi-asset. This senior-level position demands an entrepreneurial spirit, a proactive and driven sales approach, and a mandate-focused mindset. You will be a natural deal-closer, someone who thrives in competitive environments and is energised by the thrill of driving new business.
Key responsibilities:- Originate new mandates from the leading private markets GPs and asset management firms (with over EUR 50bn+ AuM) based in the UK or EMEA.
- Build, nurture and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, C-suite executives and relevant stakeholders at target firms e.g. Head of IR, Head of Product, Head of Wealth, COO etc.
- Drive strategic business development initiatives, leveraging deep industry insights to identify and secure new opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in S64’s distribution, solutions and technology business verticals.
- Represent S64 in client meetings, conferences and industry events, cementing the firm’s position as the default international private wealth solutions partner for leading GPs and asset managers.
- Minimum 10 years’ private markets experience in one of the following areas: Investment Banking (Sponsor Coverage or Financing Solutions Origination); Placement Agent; Private Wealth Platform (GP Coverage role).
- Foundational understanding and exposure to the key themes of private markets democratisation and the strategic importance for most GPs/Asset Managers to diversify into international private wealth.
- Demonstrable entrepreneurial mindset and proven track record of originating mandates and closing deals.
- Extensive network of relationships with senior decision-makers (C-suite, Managing Directors, Heads of Business Development, Head of IR, Head of Wealth, Head of Product, COO etc.) at leading private markets GPs and asset management firms.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate independently with high initiative and accountability.
- Strong stamina, energy and unparalleled work ethic to do whatever it takes to win.
