S4labour – a hospitality software organisation founded in 2010 – is looking for a Payroll Executive to join our payroll team in Coleshill, England, United Kingdom. As a Payroll Executive you will provide specialist administrative service using system‑generated reports to analyse data, identify required changes and process payroll data.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all aspects of payroll, including BACS operations when required, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Accurately process new starters, leavers, pensions, sick pay and holiday pay.
- Regularly communicate with clients (internal and external) in a professional and considered manner.
- Ensure all statutory payments and deductions are calculated correctly and paid timely.
- Assist with ad‑hoc duties, including queries from clients, colleagues and HMRC.
- Support the Payroll Bureau Manager and maintain process and procedure documents.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end payroll preparation experience.
- Experience with high‑volume payrolls (circa 2,000 payslips) and payroll bureau service operations.
- Strong understanding of statutory deductions (tax, national insurance, pensions and auto enrolment).
- High level of written and verbal communication; ability to deal with multiple stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated initiative and strong teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Excel (data extraction, reconciliation, CSV imports).
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Monday.com is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- CIPP Level 3 Certificate in Payroll desirable.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary – dependent on experience.
- 33 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays).
- 37.5 hours a week, Monday–Wednesday in the office, Thursday–Friday work‑from‑home.
