Hours: 12:00pm–6:00pm, Monday–Friday

S4A Group Ltd is a leading provider of childcare and wraparound care. We are looking for an Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our team and build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to progress into a qualified Early Years role.

As part of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will study an Early Years Level 3 Educator qualification alongside their work. This role will require you to travel around local schools and nurseries in Towcester and surrounding areas. During the school day, you will support schools as a Teaching Assistant in Early Years, working alongside class teachers to help children learn, play and thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Early Years children during the school day as a Teaching Assistant, including learning activities, play, routines, and transitions.
  • Working alongside teachers to support children’s development, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Supporting children in play, learning and development in a safe, caring environment.
  • Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support early development.
  • Supporting wraparound care sessions, helping to create a fun, safe and welcoming environment.
  • Communicating professionally with parents, carers, and school staff, passing on key messages when needed.
  • Supporting daily routines and behaviour expectations within the setting.
  • Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Taking part in training, shadowing experienced staff, and completing your apprenticeship coursework and portfolio.

Progression Pathway:

This apprenticeship is designed to support you in becoming a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time Early Years / childcare role, subject to performance and vacancies.
