S4A is seeking a Holiday Club Activity Leader to work within our holiday club settings to inspire and engage children through the activities offered. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our holiday teams and help create a fun, safe, and enriching environment for children during the school holidays. Our Holiday Clubs run on a fixed-term basis during school holiday periods (e.g. half term, Easter and summer holidays). This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for the duration of each holiday club programme, with work available during these set holiday periods only.
Hours & Pay
- Hours: Between 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, during school holiday periods only
- Pay: £110 per day
Role Overview
As a Holiday Club Activity Leader, you will play a key role in the delivery of planned activities within our holiday club settings. You will work alongside other team members to support the daily running of the club, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and enjoying their experience. This is a non-managerial role focused on activity delivery, engagement, and child experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a range of fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities, including sports, games, and creative sessions
- Engage positively with children, encouraging participation and confidence
- Follow daily timetables and activity plans provided by the setting
- Support positive behaviour using clear expectations and encouragement
- Assist with the safe setup, use, and tidying of equipment and activity spaces
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment at all times
- Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and operational procedures
- Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and schools
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience working with children in a holiday club, school, childcare, or activity setting
- Confidence supporting and delivering activities to groups of children
- A positive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Desirable:
- Relevant childcare, playwork, or sports qualification
- Experience working with children of different ages and abilities
- First Aid qualification
- Experience supporting children with SEND
