Animal Technician Are you passionate about animal care and scientific research? We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Animal Technician to join our clients in vivo team. This is a hands-on role supporting both routine animal husbandry and essential administrative tasks associated with laboratory experiments. You\’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team in a highly regulated research environment. Key Responsibilities * Perform daily care and husbandry of laboratory animals (primarily rodents), ensuring high welfare standards. * Generate experimental documentation including study logs, folders, cage cards, and sample labels. * Support Home Office record keeping in line with regulatory requirements. * Assist with cage cleaning, facility sanitation, and preparation of consumables and equipment. * Perform health checks upon animal delivery (depending on competency level). * Ensure accurate record-keeping and archiving of study samples and documentation. * Maintain personal training records and uphold standards defined by the Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. What We’re Looking For * Basic knowledge of animal handling and welfare, ideally under ASPA guidelines. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised. * Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. * Flexible attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. * Experience in animal husbandry or a related scientific/technical background is desirable. * Qualifications such as GCSEs or BTEC National Diploma in science or animal-related topics preferred.
