A leading research organisation is seeking a skilled and motivated research scientist to support the delivery of complex in vivo studies. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality, impactful science while working within a strong culture of care.

The Role

You will play a key role in the execution and delivery of in vivo studies, supporting all in-life phases through to data analysis and reporting. You will work collaboratively with scientific, technical, and project teams, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, data quality, and regulatory compliance, while also supporting the development of junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of in vivo procedures, from routine dosing and clinical observations to advanced surgical techniques, including anaesthesia, analgesia, suturing, and PDX models.
  • Oncology related procedures and injections.
  • Generate high-quality, reliable scientific data.
  • Operate in full compliance with UK Home Office legislation, including ASPA, establishment licences, and project licences.
  • Support the training, mentoring, and quality oversight of junior team members.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven hands-on expertise in in vivo animal handling, husbandry, welfare assessment, and surgical techniques.
  • Experience with oncology and tumour models is highly desirable.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to support, train, and mentor others.

Requirements:

  • UK Home Office Personal Licence Holder (Modules A–C).
