Are you an Experienced Scientist ready to lead laboratory operations at the intersection of diagnostics, animal health, and biospecimen supply? An exciting opportunity has opened for a Laboratory Supervisor to lead a multi-disciplinary team supporting diagnostic services and biospecimen distribution from animal models. You’ll oversee molecular biology, microbiology, serology, and parasitology functions—delivering high-impact services for both internal teams and external clients.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Oversee and manage diagnostic lab functions and biospecimen services
  • Lead a team of technicians and scientists to deliver high-quality laboratory analysis and animal health monitoring
  • Coordinate the scheduling, supply, and distribution of biospecimens to client specifications
  • Perform and review advanced diagnostic techniques (e.g., ELISA, PCR, IFA, post-mortems)
  • Communicate scientific findings, support commercial teams, and assist in marketing efforts
  • Contribute to audit readiness and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree in Biomedical, Bio-Veterinary, or Veterinary Sciences
  • Experience in laboratory diagnostics or biospecimen services (assay development is a plus)
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Confidence working in regulated environments with animals and sensitive material
  • Familiarity with ISO and AAALAC standards
  • Full UK driving licence
