The Opportunity
Water Treatment Consultant with specialist closed water system knowledge and domestic water experience, based in London, to support our clients across the commercial and residential property sector. This focus of this role is to undertake assessments of:
- Closed loop systems: including chilled water (CHW), low-temperature hot water (LTHW), heating and condenser water—monitoring, diagnostics, correction, and compliance.
- Domestic hot & cold-water systems.
Part of the week will be site-based and part at home working on reports and assisting clients; diaries are pre-planned in advance to support and assist work life balance. There will be a requirement to travel to our sites with this role, so you will need to have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel to sites.

Competencies and Experience
You will have:
- Training/qualifications relevant to closed water systems and corrosion control.
- City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in Legionella risk assessment and Legionella awareness - hot and cold water systems.
- Good working knowledge of: BG 50/2021 - Water Treatment for Closed Heating and Cooling Systems, BS 8552:2012 - Sampling and monitoring of water from building services closed systems – Code of practice and other relevant Guidance.
- Knowledge of relevant UK standards and codes ie ACOP L8/HSG 274 BS 8580-1 and BS 7592.
- Excellent technical ability.
- Good report writing, IT and communication skills.
- Experience in undertaking site based legionella risk assessments of hot and cold water systems.
Desirable professional memberships and skills
- City and Guilds or Water Management Society or equivalent training course - Cooling Water Chemistry and legionella risk assessment of cooling water systems.
- Experience in undertaking site-based legionella risk assessments of cooling towers and evaporative condensers.
- Membership or affiliation with relevant professional bodies (e.g., WMS, IWater, IHEEM, CIWEM, or water industry associations).
