The S2 Partnership is looking to expand its fire safety team and therefore, we are seeking a home-based Fire Safety Technician to join our expanding and successful consultancy team. The focus of this role is to undertake fire door surveys and passive fire protection surveys in commercial and residential buildings.

Part of the week will be site-based and part at home working on reports and assisting clients; diaries are pre-planned in advance to support and assist work-life balance. There will be a requirement to travel to our clients' sites with this role, so you will need to have a full driving license and access to your own vehicle.

Competencies and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above including English and Maths.
  • Fire door surveying qualification and experience in carrying out fire door surveys.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant UK fire door standards.
  • Good report writing, IT and communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic, be willing to travel and be happy with occasional overnight stays.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant fire safety membership (IFE or IFSM).
  • Fire safety or risk assessment qualification.
  • Experience in completing fire risk assessments.
