Staff One are recruiting Weld Inspectors in the Rotherham (S60) area for work starting as soon as possible.

Job Details

  • Role: Weld inspecting
  • Location: Rotherham (S60)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing (Temp to Perm)
  • Rate: £19.13 to £20.15ph
  • Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday rotating Days 6am - 4pm and Nights 8pm - 6am: £19.13 (and x3 weekends Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm £20.15) Afternoons 2pm - 10pm and Nights 10pm - 6am £17.00ph

Job Description

  • Monitor fabricators Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities
  • Review approved Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
  • Review Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
  • Review Welders Performance Qualifications records (WPQ)
  • Provide Independent Welding and Fabrication support and advice
  • Review of Fabrication Inspection and Test Plans and final fabrication pack
  • Visual inspections of weld set up/weld quality, completion of dimensional inspections as required
  • Review and endorse NDT reports in a timely manner
  • Prescribe and monitor weld repairs to code
  • Verify the application of NDT methods for inspection activities
  • Maintain a contemporaneous record of daily activities
