Staff One is currently recruiting Female Domiciliary Care Assistants to support clients in the Barnsley area. This is a rewarding role supporting individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence while receiving high-quality, person-centred care.

Please note: Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administering medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures
  • Supporting clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
  • Providing companionship, emotional support, and promoting wellbeing
  • Assisting with household tasks and daily living activities
  • Encouraging independence while maintaining dignity, choice, and respect
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns appropriately
Shift Patterns:

Shifts are expected to follow the below patterns: Hours are split between 7am-11pm (Morning, afternoon and evening calls). Please note that exact shift times are subject to confirmation.

Additional Information:
  • Up to 8 client visits per day
  • A short 10-minute Microsoft Teams induction with the manager will be required prior to your first shift
  • Flexible working opportunities available
  • Ongoing support from the management team
Requirements:
  • Female applicants only (this is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010)
  • Previous care experience preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care
