- Role: Weld inspecting
- Location: Rotherham (S60)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing (Temp to Perm)
- Rate: £19.13 to £20.15ph
- Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday rotating Days 6am - 4pm and Nights 8pm - 6am: £19.13 (and x3 weekends Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm £20.15)
- Afternoons 2pm - 10pm and Nights 10pm - 6am £17.00ph
Job Description
- Monitor fabricators Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities
- Review approved Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Review Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
- Review Welders Performance Qualifications records (WPQ)
- Provide Independent Welding and Fabrication support and advice
- Review of Fabrication Inspection and Test Plans and final fabrication pack
- Visual inspections of weld set up/weld quality, completion of dimensional inspections as required
- Review and endorse NDT reports in a timely manner
- Prescribe and monitor weld repairs to code
- Verify the application of NDT methods for inspection activities
- Maintain a contemporaneous record of daily activities
