Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing business in the Lanarkshire area to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for an initial 4-6 month assignment. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance function through a busy year-end and audit period, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective stakeholder management across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
- Act as the key finance contact throughout the external audit process
- Review and strengthen balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Assist with technical accounting matters and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Support the production of monthly management accounts and board reporting
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and challenge where required
- Mentor and support members of the finance team
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified CA
- Strong technical accounting background
- Demonstrable experience supporting businesses through year-end and external audit processes
- Proven ability to operate effectively in an interim capacity and quickly establish credibility
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the organisation
