Training and Practice Development Officer
Overview
Hillcrest Futures is recruiting for a Training and Practice Development Officer. This role sits within the Hillcrest Organisational Development Team and focuses on shaping and delivering high-quality learning experiences to empower the workforce to provide exceptional care and support.
About The Role
As a Training Practice Development Officer at Hillcrest Futures, you will help deliver mandatory training and design, develop and deliver best practice resources to support Hillcrest Futures Services and Teams. You will work with colleagues to maintain a skilled, confident workforce capable of delivering excellent care and support services across Hillcrest.
You will be involved in delivering learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of the people we support and will contribute to practice development across the organisation.
About You
This position is ideal for someone enthusiastic about learning and development, with a strong understanding of social care practice and a commitment to driving positive change. You will bring creativity and confidence to designing and delivering engaging training that supports best practice across our services.
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Have
- Previous experience in a management or Leadership role within a social care setting
- Experience in developing and delivering training within a social care or similar setting
- A sound knowledge of sector standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice approaches
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners and adapt to different audiences
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues to create innovative learning solutions
- A commitment to continuous improvement and supporting others to achieve their potential
- Hold a relevant qualification to a minimum of Level 8 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) or have a willingness to achieve this
