I’m working with a long-established retail property consultancy in Scotland who are looking to bring in an ambitious Surveyor to join their high-performing team. They’re one of the key players in the Scottish retail market, advising a strong client base across both retail agency and lease advisory, covering everything from high street shops to retail parks and major shopping centres.
This role is ideal for someone who’s already chartered (MRICS) with at least a couple of years’ experience under their belt, whether that’s in retail agency, general practice, or lease advisory. You’ll get exposure to both sides of the discipline: lettings, acquisitions, and disposals on one hand, and rent reviews, renewals, and regears on the other.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting on behalf of landlords and tenants across high street, retail park, and shopping centre assets
- Managing lettings, sales, acquisitions, and disposals
- Advising clients on rent reviews, lease renewals, and regears
- Undertaking market appraisals, valuation analysis, and reporting
- Negotiating transactions and providing strategic advice that adds tangible value
- Building long‑term relationships and representing the business with professionalism and integrity
What You’ll Need
- Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS)
- At least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in retail agency, lease advisory, or general practice
- Strong negotiation and client‑facing skills
- A confident communicator who’s comfortable managing multiple projects
- Full UK driving licence
Why This Role Stands Out
- You’ll get exposure to both agency and lease advisory, ideal if you want to develop a rounded skill set
- You’ll be part of a tight‑knit, experienced team with a track record of mentoring and developing people
- You’ll work directly with key decision‑makers on prime Scottish retail assets
- Competitive package including car allowance, pension, bonus, and private medical cover
- Clear scope for career progression and long‑term growth
