The Role
The Personal Tax Manager will play a key role in managing the tax affairs of individuals, families, and business owners – both in the UK and globally. From advisory projects to compliance and relationship management, the role combines technical challenge with meaningful client interaction.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing a portfolio of private clients, delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services.
- Providing proactive advice on a wide range of issues, including income tax, capital gains, residency and domicile, trusts, and succession planning.
- Building trusted relationships with clients and their advisers, offering bespoke solutions aligned to their personal and business goals.
- Supervising, supporting, and mentoring junior team members.
- Identifying new service opportunities and supporting wider business development efforts.
- Collaborating with directors and partners on complex projects and international assignments.
Who They’re Looking For
- Be CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
- Have a solid background in personal tax, ideally gained in a practice environment.
- Be confident advising HNWIs, business owners, and entrepreneurs.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a relationship-driven approach.
- Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a supportive team culture.
- Show a genuine interest in ongoing learning and continuous improvement.
