We are looking for an enthusiastic Textile Operator to join our local client in East Ayrshire on a permanent basis. You should have experience using industrial sewing machines and a keen eye for detail. You will play a key role in creating high-quality soft furnishings for retail customers, working on beautifully crafted products such as cushions and curtains.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
  • Stitch a variety of fabric bases to exact specifications
  • Carry out quality checks and maintain high standards throughout production
  • Read and follow production paperwork accurately
  • Support across different areas including cutting, sewing, inspection, and packing
  • Keep your work area clean and organised
  • Perform basic sewing machine maintenance (changing needles, cleaning, threading)

Qualifications:

  • Ideally 2+ years' experience in a cut-and-sew production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work with a range of industrial sewing machines
