Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic LGV Driver to join our team at Furnace Quarry. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. With a focus on delivering our products throughout the West Coast of Scotland, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you\’re well-prepared to meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates safely and efficiently.
* Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and external customers.
* Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritizing the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
* Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
* Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A valid Class C License and a current Driver CPC.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* A hard-working and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
* Flexibility to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends.
