Base pay range

Location: Ninewells Hospital, Dundee

Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, 7 days a week (flexible shifts, including alternate weekends)

About The Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our bustling kitchen team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. This role is ideal for someone with basic cooking skills, or a passion to learn, especially in preparing breakfast dishes. Experience is beneficial but not essential. If you\’re a team player with a positive attitude and eager to support the kitchen team, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, especially for breakfast items
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times, following health and safety guidelines
• Help maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management
• Assist with basic cooking and food assembly
• Support kitchen staff with daily tasks and ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
• Help with the washing up and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
