Overview
Part Time (14 hours per week) – Location: Dumfries & Galloway (regular travel within the region required). Salary range: £32,372 – £40,347 FTE (£12,948 – £16,138 pro-rata) + competitive benefits package + on call rota payments. Hours: 14 hours each week (0.4 FTE) worked Thursday and Friday.

The Role: Housing Officers deliver high quality housing management services within a defined patch in the East of the region. Responsibilities include tenancy and estate management, voids and lettings, income collection, tenancy enforcement and tenant/community engagement. The role is home based with regular attendance at patches, in-person meetings, and training events across the region.

- Carry out tenancy and estate management, voids and lettings, income collection, tenancy enforcement, and tenant/community engagement.
- Maintain a visible and responsive presence in communities, build strong relationships with tenants, and address a range of housing matters.
- Attend regular home visits and work with tenants experiencing complex circumstances with empathy and professionalism.
- Act in line with the tenant-first ethos and collaborate to deliver services that have a positive impact.
- Be prepared to travel within the region and be in proximity to the East patch (Dumfries and surrounding area).

- Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional service experience and effective communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently.
- Housing sector knowledge and experience.
- CIH Level 2 or 3 qualification or relevant experience and willingness to work towards.
- Ability to build strong professional relations with tenants and possess strong customer service skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and ICT proficiency (Microsoft Office).
- Confident in taking ownership of issues and proactively seeking solutions.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota.
- Home-based role requiring a suitable space and access to broadband; driving licence and access to a vehicle are necessary.
