Setting Out Engineer | Long-Term Civil Engineering Projects | Glasgow Area
Looking for your next contract with genuine longevity? We're working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and groundwork projects across the Greater Glasgow area. Due to a growing workload, they're looking to appoint a Setting Out Engineer who can join the team immediately and play a key role across multiple live sites. This is an opportunity to secure long-term work, expected to run into 2027, with a steady pipeline of projects ranging from traditional groundworks and infrastructure packages through to more technically challenging civil engineering schemes.
You’ll Be Involved In a Mix Of Works Including
- Roads and infrastructure
- Drainage and utilities
- Foundations and earthworks
- Reinforced concrete elements
- Retaining structures
- Specialist foundation packages
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civils or groundworks projects
- Confident using modern surveying equipment (Trimble, Leica or similar)
- Ability to work independently while liaising closely with site teams
- Strong understanding of QA, as-builts and site documentation
- Available to start within the next few weeks
