Celtic Football Club is looking to recruit an ambitious sports professional to provide support and assistance with the management of Club sponsors and partners. Reporting to the Partnerships Manager, the candidate will manage and create partnership programmes and activations from conception to execution. Will take responsibility for management of a number of sponsorship accounts and relationships.
Key Accountabilities Will Include
Your responsibilities will vary significantly week to week in line with club requirements - but here's a flavour of what you can expect:
- Assist with management of Celtic men and women's team’s sponsorship portfolios to highest level, aiding delivery of partners' contractual rights.
- Working closely with the marketing, ticketing, hospitality, events, operations departments and other stakeholders to ensure sponsorship fulfilment.
- Assist with the development, preparation and delivery of high level proposals, communications, presentations, reports and other documentation for the department.
- Assist with the delivery of sponsorship/club events and work match days as required.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
Skills And Attributes
- Ability to offer a first-class, professional account management service to commercial partners and build strong business relationships at all levels.
- Experience and understanding of sponsorship as part of the marketing mix preferably as it relates to sports.
- Proactive approach to planning, communication, identifying opportunities and collaborating with colleagues to identify practical solutions for delivery of sponsors rights.
- Experience in conceptualising, planning and executing events/activations strongly preferred.
- Experience in managing third party suppliers and negotiating costs.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Keen eye for detail with strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Self-motivated while also a good team player.
- Relevant university degree e.g Marketing/Communications.
Essential
- You will have proven experience of working within a sports marketing industry and experience of managing multiple accounts at any one time.
- You will have good knowledge of marketing campaigns, brand trends and maintain a methodical approach with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. You will have the ability to demonstrate experience of using web analytics package (e.g. Google analytics) and excellent IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You will have relevant event management experience.
- The right candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and can build and maintain multiple relationships with senior clients. You will be able to provide clear and concise instructions to others and work under time pressures and project deadlines. You will have excellent customer service delivery skills with good industry awareness with great attention to detail.
Desirable
- You will have a degree in a business-related subject or significant and appropriate experience in a Partnership or Sponsorship role.
