The Role

As a Debt Advisor, you will support individuals facing financial difficulties by providing clear, accurate, and tailored debt advice. You'll help clients understand their options, explore suitable debt solutions, and take practical steps towards financial stability.

Using a variety of communication channels including telephone, email, webchat, and social media, you'll deliver a professional, non-judgemental, and supportive service while ensuring advice meets regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality debt advice in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Assess clients' financial circumstances, including income, expenditure, and liabilities.
  • Help clients identify and access appropriate debt solutions.
  • Support clients in preparing financial statements and action plans.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and provide appropriate support and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate case records using Salesforce.
  • Meet quality, compliance, and service delivery standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and team development activities.
  • Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative team culture.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • The ability to explain complex information in a simple and understandable way.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using IT systems and databases.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to remain calm and solution-focused when dealing with sensitive circumstances.

Essential

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in debt advice, money advice, welfare advice, or a regulated advice environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.

Desirable

  • Contact centre experience.
  • MATRICS certification or equivalent debt advice qualification.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Full training will be provided for the right candidate.***

31.25 hours per week | 4-Day Working Week

Monday to Friday | 9:00am - 6:00pm (4 days per week)
