Your New Company

Our client is a highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong presence across Scotland and the North of England. Following continued growth within their national Tax Consultancy team, they are looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their Glasgow office.

The firm supports a broad portfolio of privately owned businesses, entrepreneurial owner-managed companies and growing organisations across a wide range of sectors. Known for delivering high-quality advice and building long-term client relationships, they offer a collaborative and supportive environment where people are encouraged to develop their technical expertise and progress their careers.

Your new role

Joining an established corporate tax team, you will work closely with Managers, Directors and Partners to deliver a mixture of compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base.

You will be responsible for reviewing corporate tax computations and returns, managing day-to- day client relationships and supporting the delivery of tax planning assignments. Alongside developing your own technical knowledge, you will have the opportunity to coach and support junior members of the team while contributing to the continued growth of the tax function.

This role offers excellent exposure to both compliance and advisory work, making it an ideal opportunity for an ambitious tax professional seeking the next step in their career.

What You'll Need To Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working within corporate tax, gained through an accountancy practice environment. You will possess strong technical knowledge of corporate tax compliance and be comfortable building relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Applicants will ideally be CTA qualified or working towards qualification and will have experience reviewing technical work and supporting more junior team members. Strong communication skills are essential, together with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and delivering excellent client service. Experience using AlphaTax would be advantageous but is not essential.

What You'll Get In Return

In return, you will join a successful and growing organisation that is committed to investing in its people. You will benefit from exposure to a varied client base, opportunities to work on both compliance and advisory assignments, and a clearly defined progression pathway within the tax team.

The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible and hybrid working arrangements, professional development support and the chance to be part of a collaborative culture that genuinely values its people and their contribution.
