Your New Company
You'll be joining a leading accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong presence in Scotland and an established audit practice. The firm works with ambitious, entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses, including major and listed organisations, and places real emphasis on audit quality and developing its people.
Your new role
As Audit Senior Manager, you'll take the lead on a portfolio of audit clients and have responsibility for managing assignments from planning through to completion. On larger engagements, you'll be supported by Audit Managers, working closely with Partners throughout the process.
Your role will go beyond managing audit delivery. You'll play an important part in developing the team, with responsibility for resource planning, performance management, training, mentoring and coaching colleagues as they progress in their careers. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider practice and support partners with business development and relationship-building activity.
What You'll Need To Succeed
You’ll be ACA, ICAS or equivalently qualified and already have significant experience delivering audit and assurance work for major businesses. Experience of working with listed or AIM clients and businesses with international interests would be particularly relevant.
You’ll have strong technical knowledge across UK and international auditing standards, IFRS, UK GAAP and financial reporting requirements, combined with the confidence to lead complex engagements and develop strong senior-level client relationships. Just as importantly, you’ll enjoy developing people and be able to demonstrate effective leadership of audit teams.
What You'll Get In Return
This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely senior position within a substantial audit practice, with exposure to varied and challenging work and the chance to collaborate with colleagues across a wider network. The firm places a strong emphasis on professional development, ongoing learning and supporting individuals to progress their careers.
You can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, making this an attractive opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager ready to step up or an established Senior Manager looking for broader responsibility and longer-term career development.
