Robert Cullen Ltd (T/A Cullen) is the largest independent packaging company in Scotland, based in the north of Glasgow. We manufacture cardboard boxes and moulded pulp products, supplying business customers across the UK and internationally.
With recent changes in the business, we are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant who has the determination to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger: Oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices match issued purchase orders; code, batch, and process purchase ledger invoices; reconcile supplier statements and prepare supplier payment batches; post supplier payments and issue remittance advice to suppliers.
- Sales Ledger: Manage the sales ledger, ensuring all invoices are transferred to our Opera accounts system; handle customer invoice enquiries and issue copy invoices where required; ensure all new customer details are correctly set up in the accounting/billing system.
- Payroll: Oversee daily timesheets and clocking for 150+ factory staff; carry out full weekly payroll duties; administer pension auto-enrolment, average holiday pay, sickness/maternity pay, and all wage deductions.
- Other Duties: Provide general support across the accounts department; handle incoming telephone calls as required.
