This is a full-time on-site role for a BIM CAD Engineer, located in Cirencester (hybrid working is a possibility). The BIM CAD Engineer will work alongside our current CAD manager and Contracts Development Manager, responsible for creating detailed 2D/3D models and drawings for mechanical engineering projects using CAD software.
Daily tasks include:
- Collaborating with engineers and designers
- Preparing layouts
- Performing physical design work
- Ensuring designs meet industry standards and client specifications
The role also involves using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and staying updated with Cadence software.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software - AutoCAD MEP
- Accuracy in drawings and designs, meeting internal, client, and industry standards
- Experience in Mechanical Building Services Engineering and Physical Design
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and work accuracy
- Qualifications in AutoCAD and Mechanical (Building Services) Engineering or related fields
- Experience in BIM and CAD roles is essential
- Knowledge of BIM and standards like BS1192/ISO19650
- Competence in MS Office and working with AutoDesk Construction Cloud or other CDEs
