Are you looking to build your career in Marketing, Digital Marketing or Communications and want the opportunity to get your foot in the door with an exciting, leading SaaS software company? We’re looking for a bright, creative and digitally savvy Marketing Executive to join a collaborative marketing team and gain hands-on exposure across digital marketing, content, social media, campaigns, events and marketing communications.
We are very open to applications from recent graduates who are looking for their first real opportunity to start a career in marketing. If you have a relevant degree, strong communication and digital skills, plenty of initiative and a genuine desire to learn, we'd love to hear from you. Equally, you may already have some marketing experience and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your skills within the fast-moving software and technology sector.
The opportunity
This is a role where attitude, potential and transferable skills matter. You don't necessarily need years of marketing experience. We're looking for someone who is organised, creative, confident with digital platforms and capable of communicating professionally. You'll work alongside experienced marketing professionals and gain practical, commercial experience within a successful B2B SaaS environment – making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish their marketing career.
What you'll be doing
- Creating, editing and scheduling digital marketing content
- Supporting web pages, landing pages, blogs and email campaigns
- Creating and coordinating social media content, particularly LinkedIn
- Supporting the delivery of digital and integrated marketing campaigns
- Producing presentations and promotional marketing materials
- Conducting market, competitor and customer research
- Supporting events, exhibitions and trade shows
- Coordinating marketing projects and helping ensure deadlines are achieved
- Working with sales and other teams across the business
- Supporting CRM and marketing automation activity
- Helping monitor and report on marketing activity and engagement
- Bringing fresh ideas and creativity to the marketing team
Skills we're looking for
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Creativity and an interest in content and digital marketing
- Confidence using social media, particularly LinkedIn
- Good general digital and IT skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to juggle different projects and priorities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and build a career in marketing
Graduate applications encouraged
If you're a recent graduate, we don't expect you to arrive with a long list of commercial marketing experience. A degree or background in areas such as Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, English, Journalism or a related discipline could provide a great foundation. Experience gained through a placement year, internship, university project, part-time role, student society, personal social media/content project or similar activity can all be relevant. What matters most is that you can demonstrate strong communication skills, creativity, digital confidence, organisation and the ambition to learn.
Great to have – but not essential
Experience or knowledge of any of the following would be advantageous:
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Photoshop or Premiere Pro
- CRM systems
- Marketing automation platforms
- Email marketing
- Website or landing-page content
- B2B marketing
- SaaS, technology or software
- Events or exhibition marketing
Don't be put off if you don't tick every box. If you've got the core skills, enthusiasm and potential we're looking for, we want to hear from you.
Why join?
For someone at the beginning of their career, this is an opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience within a leading SaaS software business and develop a broad, highly transferable marketing skillset. Rather than being restricted to one small area of marketing, you'll gain exposure to content, digital, social media, campaigns, CRM, events and B2B marketing, working with experienced colleagues and stakeholders across the business. The position is predominantly remote, with approximately 2–4 days per month in Bedford, offering flexibility alongside valuable face-to-face collaboration.
