The role:

  • Lead the home through Ofsted registration and the first inspection
  • Build and develop the staff team
  • Establish strong safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance systems
  • Create a positive culture from day one

The candidate we're looking for:

  • An existing Ofsted Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up with the right support
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards this
  • Strong experience working with EBD, trauma and complex behaviours, with a clear understanding of trauma-informed practice
  • Previous experience contributing to a Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcome would be highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted expectations
  • Confident managing Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 processes, safeguarding, care planning, risk assessments, monitoring and quality assurance
  • Understanding of safer recruitment, staff supervision, training and workforce development
  • Enhanced DBS and a full UK driving licence
  • Able to commute to Walsall and take ownership of the home through its registration and opening
