Location: Fareham
Salary: £33,600 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time
Shifts: Early, late and long day shifts, with weekends on rotation

Shift Times:
Early: 7:00am – 2:30pm
Late: 2:30pm – 10:00pm
Long Day: 7:00am – 10:00pm

Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker within a children’s residential setting. This role is not eligible for s p o n s o r s h i p .

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established children’s residential service located in Fareham, supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Fareham, Portchester, Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Stubbington, Titchfield, Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Havant and the surrounding areas.

As an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting children and young people to live in a safe, stable and nurturing environment while providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.

You will take a senior role within the home, leading shifts, supporting and mentoring junior members of staff, and ensuring children’s individual needs are consistently met. You will also support the implementation of care plans, safeguarding procedures and the day-to-day running of the home.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance, while working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to provide positive outcomes for the children.

Requirements:

  • A positive, caring and compassionate approach to supporting children and young people
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A motivated, flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a children’s residential setting
  • Experience supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours
  • Experience working in a senior or shift-leading capacity within a children's residential setting
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without s p o n s o r s h i p
