Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Home
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader to take responsibility for managing a high-quality residential service and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will provide strong leadership and management to a dedicated residential care team, ensuring the delivery of excellent childcare provision in line with the home’s Statement of Purpose.
You will be responsible for creating a safe, warm and stable environment where children and young people feel valued, supported and able to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading, supporting and motivating a residential care team to deliver the highest standards of care.
- Creating a positive, respectful and child-focused culture within the home.
- Building strong relationships with children, young people, families and external agencies.
- Understanding the individual needs of children and young people and ensuring staff support them to achieve positive outcomes.
- Managing workforce planning, including recruitment, inductions, supervisions and ongoing professional development.
- Ensuring effective rota management and maintaining a safe and consistent service.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
- Previous experience in a senior or management position within residential childcare.
- Passionate, confident and committed approach to supporting children and young people.
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or currently working towards) or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
