About the Role

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing a safe, warm, and caring environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and autism. In this role, you will:

  • Foster a respectful culture and ethos within the home.
  • Support young people in their personal growth and development through varied and stimulating daily activities.
  • Manage challenging behaviours effectively and with empathy.
  • Promote education, independence, and daily living skills.
  • Undertake key-worker responsibilities and support individualised care plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with organisational and Ofsted standards.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation and policies.

This role involves shift work, including weekends and sleep‑ins. Further details regarding shift patterns will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Must be a UK resident or have the right to work in the UK (proof required).
  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience working with children/young people.
  • Computer literate.
  • Commitment to completing a Level 4 Diploma in residential childcare (if not already obtained) within two years of service.
  • Willingness to comply with safer recruitment policies, including pre‑employment checks, satisfactory references, and enhanced DBS clearance.

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Diploma in residential childcare or above.
  • Full UK driving licence.
