SNG Healthcare is seeking compassionate, observant and experienced Support Workers to join our team supporting a mother and baby package in Farnborough. This role involves providing supervision and support within a family environment to promote the safety and wellbeing of both mother and baby. Staff will work alongside professionals involved in the package and will be required to maintain accurate and contemporaneous records throughout each shift.

The Role:

  • Provide supervision and support within the family home.
  • Observe and accurately document interactions and care provided.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for both mother and baby.
  • Recognise and escalate any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals involved in the package.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and handovers.
  • Support with routine tasks in line with the agreed support plan.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience within Health and Social Care.
  • Experience supporting families, children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and professional boundaries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional and non-judgemental in emotionally demanding situations.
  • Flexibility to work a mixture of day shifts, waking nights and weekends.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within mother and baby services, family assessment centres, residential childcare, children's services, or community support settings.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
